Plym History Centre 4 2000x650 - About

Shared Apprenticeships South West has been set up by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) to meet growing demand for a more flexible approach to apprenticeships.

Recruiting apprentices across the South West of England into various roles within the industry, the shared apprenticeship model reflects the needs of an ever growing construction sector. We support apprentices from day one, providing placements with a number of host employers, booking Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) tests and equipping apprentices with a basic tool kit.

Shared Apprenticeships (SA) also arranges college placements which will be a maximum of 2 days per week depending on trade to gain a full Level 2 or 3 apprenticeship qualification.

With regular reviews to ensure our apprentices are well looked after and getting the right support, SA also offers help and guidance with finding full time employment along the way – and we have had a few success stories already!

Each apprentice is directly employed by SA, so employers also benefit from having apprentices on site without any HR or payroll implications.

Shared Apprenticeships operates across Dorset, Devon and Bristol and is expanding across the region.
